“I know I’m still young, but I know how I feel. I might not have much experience, but I know when love is real” ~Savannah
An October Wedding
Only a few days after Savannah turned twenty, in the presence of their family and friends, she and Alex vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Having met when they were still children, they could never imagine spending their lives with anyone else. Not many couples get the opportunity to transition from child to teen to adult with their spouse, but these two never wavered. They were best friends growing up and they still are!
Never has there been a more beautiful wedding or bride! The day started out with all the ladies preparing for the day at the Best Western. While hair and makeup were carefully perfected, Savannah thought of the day before her. Lucky for me, they chose Kelly Hill Farm for their venue! Having never shot there before I was a little nervous, but it turns out, I had no reason to be! The venue is gorgeous and the reception hall was a dream to shoot in!
Alex and Savannah opted to wait to see one another for the first time at the ceremony. As Savannah was escorted down the aisle by her mom, the look in Alex’s eyes reflected all his love for her. During the ring exchange, a slight moment of panic on the part of the best man, gave away to laughter as he jotted away to find her ring!
After the ceremony, we took a little time for photos with family and the wedding party. After those we headed “up over the hill” for their portraits.
The laid back atmosphere of the day spilled over into the reception. The guests partook in the toonie bar while listening to the entertaining speeches and the great music provided by Dave Ferdinand.
Along, later in the evening, after the first dances and the garter and bouquet toss, we snuck outside for a quick sparker shot. I am so happy for Savannah and Alex, and I just know that they have a lifetime of adventures to look forward to!
